Host A Drive For Families In Need
Thousands of children in Tampa Bay live in households of poverty and chronic hunger. Through the compassionate support of the community, The Salvation Army Food Pantry provides groceries for thousands of hungry families each year. You can help keep the food pantry stocked. Contact your local Salvation Army for a list of the most requested grocery items.
Each day, hundreds of homeless men, women and children call The Salvation Army home. Our emergency shelters and transitional housing programs are regularly in need of toiletry items including: shampoo, conditioner, soap, deodorant, toothpaste & toothbrushes, disposable razors, shaving cream, diapers, sunscreen, as well as cleaning and paper products. Contact your local Salvation Army to arrange a drive.
School Supply Drive
Help The Salvation Army provide backpacks full of school supplies for students living in poverty throughout Tampa Bay. We will be collecting school supplies during the summer months for the 2012-2013 school year. Contact your local Salvation Army for a list of supplies needed.
New Toy Drive
Each year, thousands of needy children in Tampa Bay receive Christmas gifts through The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program. Families living at or below the poverty level are eligible to register their children for the program. Host a new toy drive for children up to age 15 during the months of November and December. These toys will be used to fill bags for Forgotten Angels, whose angel tags were not selected through the Angel Tree program. Contact your local Salvation Army to get started.
Clothing & Household Items Drive
Each day, more than 275 men from the Tampa Bay area get help in our in-residence drug and alcohol program at our two Adult Rehabilitation Centers because of the unwanted goods you donate to our Salvation Army Family Stores. In addition to clothing, The Salvation Army Family Stores desperately need your tax-deductible donations of furniture, electronics, small appliances, household items and vehicles. You recycle your unwanted goods; The Salvation Army recycles broken lives. Together, we are DOING THE MOST GOOD® in our local community. Contact your local Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center to arrange a drive.
